Hi! My name is Bod and I hail from the Border Hills in Scotland. Most of my adult life was spent in the North of Scotland before moving here to West Cork.
My enjoyment of the outdoors led to 6 years living in a Tipi in the Northwest Highlands, to working in the forests and woodlands of the north and to explore by kayak the ocean seascape around those coasts.  Through my woodcarving and working with tools native to the Pacific peoples and those of Africa I have gained a certain affinity and love for native expressions of culture around the world.
I encountered Lomi-Lomi in 2015, my appreciation of Polynesian culture and my own experience in the forests, mountains and oceans in the Highlands of Scotland led me to Louise and her school of Hawaiian arts here in Ireland.
I found the experience of Lomi-Lomi profound and remarkable, both giving and receiving! Since my first encounter with Lomi-Lomi I continue to deepen my understanding of the Hawaiian tradition and bodywork in general. In 2019 I trained as a NeuroMuscular Therapist to further my knowledge of our anatomy and physiology. All of this feeds into my expression of Lomi-Lomi and the aloha spirit.
Opening our heart to our own natural expression, releasing our unique life force from inhibitions and restrictions brings us back to the center, a potent force in resonance with the world and environment around us.
If you have never experienced a full Lomi-Lomi session I urge you to try it at least once, if not from me then from another- you won’t regret it!!
